We've always prided ourselves on going a bit further than what everyone says is good enough. Sometimes it gets us into trouble. There's been more than a few times where we've shot the moon and come up a bit short. It happens. One thing we haven't done is refuse to learn from our mistakes and move forward with resolve to do better the next time around.

The brand has grown like crazy in the past few years, and like any teenager, we've had our share of growing pains.  We've learned who we can depend on, what it means to have "till death" fans who have tattooed our designs on the sides of their heads, how to play off of our strengths not weaknesses, and above all, how to be true to ourselves.

Today marks a new chapter in our story.  After spending the past few years underneath the guidance and support of our good friends at Stussy, we have decided to move forward on our own path.  This brand was built from scratch through determination, creativity, and hard work. We work best when we shoulder our own risks.  Over the next few years we will challenge the idea of how a clothing company should be run. Quite frankly, because UVT is first and foremost a Community.  A community of people who know how to make something out of nothing.  Who weren't fed opportunity, but sowed their own success. Who didn't adopt a style, but birthed a new one. 

We make these clothes to celebrate these people. We make these clothes to fund the creation of that Culture. In an industry that rewards corporate appropriation, gentrification, and shallow ideals, we stand with principle and pride.  No white flags.  They can keep their trends.  What we have is FOUNDATION.
